ABOUT us

Toyo Photography began in 1992 when Gary Toyo Miyatake decided to leave his grandfather's studio, Toyo Miyatake Studio in San Gabriel, and start his own path in Gardena CA. With his grandfather's wisdom and knowledge passed down to him, he set out to forge his own path. During his long career, Gary had the privilege to photograph public figures such as Mayor Tom Bradley, Oscar De La Hoya, Cesar Chavez, and many more. Today, the studio continues to offer photography services that honor Gary's legacy and vision.
